Interested in earning some free Amazon gift cards for yourself? You’ve come to the right place.

We don’t want to waste your time when you could be earning these babies, so let’s get to it!

Earning free Amazon gift cards through Amazon programs

Amazon trade-in program

What better way to start than by partaking in Amazon’s own program? Physical decluttering is good for your mental state, and in this case, your wallet too. Amazon helps you do just that.

If you’ve got some items around the house that aren’t being used, consider trading them in. These include a huge range of electronics, video games, consoles, and even books.

Thousands of items qualify, and you’ll have to search in their Trade-In store to make sure they accept your particular item. If at first, you don’t see it on their list, keep checking in the future because they are always updating their list of qualified items.

Once you’re ready to ship out the item, Amazon will set you up with a free shipping label that you can print out. How neat is that?

And for eligible products, you’ll receive instant payment straight to your Amazon account.

Amazon Reload program

If you sign up for this program, you’ll get a 2% bonus every time you reload your Amazon gift card balance. There is no limit to how much you can earn this way.

If you’re interested in signing up for Reload, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Be sure you’re currently a Prime member. If not, you must sign up for it to participate.
  2. Provide a debit card to reload with. You won’t qualify for the 2% bonus if you use a credit card, even Amazon’s own branded credit card.
  3. Input your bank account and routing number.
  4. Give your driver’s license number.
  5. Reload the desired amount into your Amazon gift card balance.
  6. You will see the 2% credit on top of it immediately in your balance.

Earning Amazon gift cards by participating in surveys

Swagbucks

If taking surveys sounds relaxing to you, you’ll enjoy Swagbucks. It’s an app that allows you to take surveys from all sorts of companies for all sorts of things.

It allows you to voice your opinion and potentially effect change for the better.

But even better, you’ll get paid for it.

Fill out your profile and they’ll serve you various surveys of all kinds.

You’ll get daily survey invites and new ones will come as they become available, keeping you plenty busy if you choose to be.

The number of points you’ll receive and the expected time it takes will be clearly shown for each one. You get to decide which surveys you want to take at the moment, which ones you don’t want to take, and which ones you’ll supposedly save for later.

Additionally, they do have options for watching content and playing online games as a means to get paid too.

Every 100 Swagbucks you get is equivalent to $1.00. I personally make on average around $50 to $75 a month just doing this in my extra free time, but I’ve seen users report up to $500 in a single month!

Obviously, the more you do, the faster you’ll get that Amazon gift card. There is no minimum to redeem, but most rewards offer at least $3 worth of Swagbucks. It can take up to ten business days to receive once you decide to redeem.

Check out our full review of Swagbucks.

Inbox Dollars

Inbox Dollars is similar to Swagbucks, but they’ve expanded the mediums in which you can participate in. They allow you to do not only traditional surveys, videos, and games, but also grocery shopping and general online shopping.

In a way, Inbox Dollars could be the better way to go if I had to choose between this and Swagbucks for the rest of my life, simply because I like the variety of choices. But I do love the focus and simplicity of Swagbucks.

In Inbox Dollars, if you choose to do a survey, they pay anywhere from 50 cents to $5.00. On the opposite end of the spectrum, if you watch videos, you generally only get a few cents. The rest can pay anywhere from 10 cents to $50.00.

You can then redeem your Amazon gift card onto your Amazon account balance.

Pinecone Research

This is another research program that’s not as known but also pays you for taking surveys. They do market research and find your opinions invaluable for their business model.

That’s why they’re willing to pay you for your time.

You’ll get invites from them and each time you complete a survey you’ll get 300 points for doing so. Pinecone Research values 300 points at $3.

Do one survey, you get $3. There’s no subjective variation in what a survey is worth to the company.

Opinion Outpost

Opinion Outpost is another survey company specializing in online market research and can pay you some of the highest rates in the industry.

However, they have some of the highest qualification requirements, and it’s not uncommon that halfway through taking a survey you’ll find that you don’t qualify for it, even though you were sent an invite for it.

To make up for this, Opinion Outpost enters you into a raffle for a potential cash prize.

To get a rundown of the points system, 100 points give you $10 worth of cash. You’ll need a minimum of 50 points to cash out for an Amazon gift card, which is equal to $5.

You can get surveys that are alone worth 50 points, and they deliver your redeemed gift cards very quickly.

Earning Amazon gift cards through shopping – instant free Amazon gift cards

Honey

To maximize cashback and bonuses using this app:

  1. Get a Honey discount on your Amazon shopping.
  2. Get a cashback of 15% on your purchases via Honey which can add up and eventually be redeemed into an Amazon gift card.
  3. And then finally, make a purchase with your Amazon gift card PLUS Honey discount AND get 15% cashback on that purchase.

If you do any shopping on Amazon, you might as well use this one because it adds up over time depending on how frequently you shop. You can then redeem all the points you got from shopping on Amazon into an Amazon gift card!

Ibotta

This app allows you to make use of the receipts you’re getting on your shopping trips, both online and in person. You can take a picture of it and send it via the Ibotta app as proof of your purchases, but you do have to find and add the specific offer beforehand to qualify for the points.

Ibotta partners with over 2,000 retailers so it’s a good bet that the place you shop at participates in the program.

If you like to shop online, there’s also a browser extension that you can install to help you get cashback on your purchases. You can then redeem your earnings for an Amazon gift card. Cash-out minimum starts at $20 which is a relatively hefty amount.

Fetch Rewards

This program is similar to Ibotta in that you take pictures of receipts from places you shop at. When you do so, you earn points and at a minimum of 3,000 points, you can then cash out with an Amazon gift card as a choice. You don’t have to find a respective offer beforehand so it’s overall simpler than Ibotta.

For reference, every 1,000 points you earn is equivalent to $1, so the minimum value to cash out would be equal to $3. Much lower than the $20 that Ibotta requires.

One downside to this that Ibotta doesn’t have is that the rewards you earn expire after 90 days of inactivity, so you can’t just leave your app alone and have peace of mind. Be sure to cash out as often as necessary to keep those points from disappearing forever.
