What is Wrapify?
Wrapify is a guerilla marketing agency that has come up with a pretty creative way to get the brands they partner with in front of the eyes of consumers. In simple terms, Wrapify pays drivers to turn their cars into rolling billboards!
How Does Wrapify Work?
The way it works is simple: businesses sign up with Wrapify and create advertising campaigns. They’re then matched with drivers who meet their criteria (location, driving habits, etc.). Once a driver has been selected, they’re given a car wrap that corresponds to the campaign.
As a driver, your job is simply to drive around as you normally would—there are no special requirements or restrictions. You can go about your day-to-day life while still earning money!
Payments are made on a weekly basis, and you’ll receive an email notification when your payment has been processed. The amount you earn will depend on a number of factors, including the campaign you’re participating in, the number of hours you’ve driven, and your location.
Can I Advertise With Wrapify On My Uber or Lyft Car?
Absolutely. There is no conflict of interest when participating in either program, so feel free to combine the two. In fact, using an Uber or Lyft car to participate in the Wrapify program may actually be of benefit in getting you to qualify for the minimum number of miles needed for Wrapify.
Do keep in mind that your route would have to be within the area designated by the job in order to qualify for Wrapify miles. And since you will only get paid up to a certain amount of miles, you can’t earn money for every ride.
What Are Wrapify Swarms?
If you’re familiar with companies like Carvertise—a Wrapify competitor—this business model probably sounds familiar. However, there is one aspect of Wrapify that is entirely unique: Wrapify Swarms.

The way Wrapify Swarms work is pretty cool. Basically, the company behind a campaign can send push notifications to their drivers offering bonuses for parking in or driving around a certain area for a specific period of time. The result is usually a flood (swarm) of identically branded vehicles filling certain areas of a city.
Not only is this a brilliant feature from a marketing perspective, but it’s also a great way for Wrapify drivers to increase their earnings without much additional effort.
What Do The Wrapify Wraps Look Like?
Wrapify’s wraps come in three main varieties—Lite, Partial, and Full. As the names suggest, the three main wrap varieties differ on the basis of how much surface area they cover. Lite wraps cover the least amount of surface area, Full wraps cover the most.
The kind of wrap you get is entirely campaign dependent. Some clients go for smaller, subtler designs. Others choose to go big, bright, and bold. Luckily, Wrapify lets drivers preview the wrap for a given campaign before accepting it.
Let’s take a look at Wrapify’s four wrap varieties:
Wrapify Lite Wrap

Wrapify Partial Wrap

Wrapify Full Wrap

How Much Does Wrapify Pay You?
With Wrapify, the amount of money you make will depend on a number of factors, including:
- The number of hours you drive
- The number of days you drive per week
- The city you live in
- The campaigns you participate in
- What kind of car you drive
- The kind of wrap you have
As you can see, there’s a lot that goes into how much money you can make with Wrapify. In general, the more time you’re willing to commit, the more money you can earn. And if you live in a big city and have a newer car, you’ll likely be able to participate in more (and higher paying) campaigns.
On the Wrapify website, drivers can get a sense of their potential monthly earnings based on the kind of wrap used for a campaign. The ranges are:
- Lite: $196-$250
- Partial: $196-$250
- Full: $264-$452
So, as you can see, the monthly earnings potential from a Wrapify campaign ranges from $196 to $452 per month. Not bad at all!
How Much Does Wrapify Pay Per Mile
Remember that Wrapify will only compensate you for up to 25 miles of driving in the blue zone (your generally accepted Wrapify campaign area) and up to 10 miles in the red zone (the extremes of your generally accepted Wrapify campaign area) on a daily basis.
Taking the lower end of monthly earning potential for a Lite wrap, driving 35 miles for 30 days, we get:
- $196 / (35 miles per day * 30 days) = 18.7 cents per mile
However, if you take the higher end of monthly earning potential for a Full wrap, driving 35 miles for 30 days, we get:
- $452 / (35 miles per day * 30 days) = 43 cents per mile
These are estimates, and there are a lot more factors that go into your earnings, such as the time of day and the estimated number of people on the road, but it should give you a general picture of what kind of compensation you’re getting on a per mile basis.
If your daily commute is in the zones indicated in your app, then this is basically free money in a sense. Because no additional costs or depreciation to your vehicle will happen.
Is Wrapify in my area? Where are Wrapify locations?
Wrapify is available nationwide, from Houston to Chicago, given that you meet all of the requirements. However, specific campaigns are targeted by area, so you may not always be able to participate in a campaign, especially if you’re looking to participate in a Swarms event but are located in a not-so-populated part of town. If there happens to be an event in your area, your app will notify you accordingly with details.
Is Wrapify Legit?
There’s no doubt that Wrapify is a legitimate company—it’s not a scam.
And that’s quite rare in this niche. We say that because there are quite a few companies that come and go, and they always seem to have some sort of shady background or history.
There have been some scams reported relating to Wrapify, but not from the company itself. What usually happens is that when someone signs up for Wrapify and does a job, a scammer will then send a fake earnings check to that person to deposit. When the check is deposited, it will eventually be discovered as fraud and the credit will be reversed. The bank then can go after you, holding you liable for the amount of the check and bounce fees to boot.
You can avoid this scam by never cashing in any check that claims to be from Wrapify or any of their employees. Wrapify earnings should be directly deposited into your bank account. If you do ever get a check, hold on to it and report it to your local police department so that they have a record of it in their system.
Also, never pay out of your own pocket for the car wrapping job itself. This should be paid for in full by Wrapify and Wrapify alone.
Wrapify Alternatives and Competitors
To be honest, your options are quite sparse in this industry if you’re looking to wrap your vehicle and get paid to advertise on your car. As mentioned above, many companies seem to come and go in this industry, and the majority of them indulge in shady practices.
If you’re interested in making money in this way, we can only wholeheartedly recommend two companies:
- Wrapify
- Carvertise
We recommend staying away from any other companies that claim to wrap your car with an advertisement and pay you to drive around.
As time goes on, we’ll see which other companies turn out to be legit, and we’ll be more than happy to add on to our list of true Wrapify and Carvertise competitors.

Wrapify vs. Carvertise: Which Is Better?
The experience with both of these companies tends to be quite positive. There isn’t any particularly glaring flaw with either company. It may be relevant to note that Carvertise is a slightly more veteran company as it was founded in 2012, whereas Wrapify is a newer company founded in 2015.
The one thing we’d like to mention is that since these companies are largely app-based, the app experience does matter a lot to users. With that being said, Wrapify takes the cake as it has over 900 ratings with an average of 3.8/5 stars on the Apple App Store.
On the other hand, Carvertise has about 100 ratings with an average of 2.5/5 stars on the Apple App Store. That’s quite the difference in user app experiences.
Also, Wrapify does have another distinct advantage, and that is the ability to participate in Swarms for extra income.
In a nutshell, we recommend Wrapify over Carvertise for two reasons:
- The user app experience is smoother and superior
- You get the chance to earn extra income with Swarms
How Is The Wrapify App?
The Wrapify app does a lot of things right. Let’s check out some of the pros:
Pros
- The Wrapify onboarding process is easy and straightforward
- Accepting campaigns is smooth and easy
- It alerts you to campaign opportunities in your area
- Customer support is quick to respond
- Wrapify payments are weekly and on time
Despite all that, it does have some room for improvement. Let’s check out some of the cons:
Cons
- It doesn’t show your rate of pay on a per-mile basis
- The Wrapify app freezes once in a while
- The Wrapify app logs you out randomly even while tracking your mileage during a campaign
Most of the cons regarding Wrapify have been about the company’s app, which we can assume will be improved over time.
Who Should Use Wrapify? Is Wrapify Worth It?
First and foremost, consider your driving habits. If you don’t live in or near a busy metropolitan area, you probably won’t be selected for many campaigns. And even if you are selected, you’re not likely to earn very much.
Wrapify is best suited for drivers who live in or near busy cities and who are on the road frequently. If that’s not you, there are other ways to make extra money that might be a better fit.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Wrapify isn’t a full-time job—it’s a side hustle. You’re not going to get rich quickly by driving around with a car wrap, but it can be a good way to make some extra money each month. So, if you’re looking for a new way to make some extra income, Wrapify is definitely worth considering. Just be sure to do your research and consider your driving habits before signing up. If you’re convinced Wrapify is for you, read on. We’ll show you how to get started.
Here are some other great ways to make some money.
How To Start Earning With Wrapify
Now that we’ve covered the basics of what Wrapify is, it’s time to quickly run through the application process. There won’t be many surprises here, but it’s still helpful to know what you’re getting into!
Step One: Meet The Wrapify Requirements
Before we get into the signup process, it’s important to understand that not everyone can drive for Wrapify. The company has a strict set of entry requirements that you’ll need to meet! Don’t worry, though—they aren’t too demanding!
To drive for Wrapify, you must:
- Be a resident of the U.S.A.
- Be 21 years old or older
- Have a smartphone
- Have a car (year 2008 or newer)
- Have a clean driving record
In addition, to drive from Wrapify, you must live in (or near) one of the following cities:
- Atlanta
- Dallas
- Boston
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- Minneapolis
- Orange County
- Orlando
- San Diego
- San Francisco
If you meet all of these requirements, you’re free to move on to the next stage.
Step Two: Download The Wrapify App
In order to start the Wrapify signup process, you’ll need to download the company’s app from either the App Store or Google Play. The app is only available in the U.S., so if you live elsewhere, you’ll need to look for alternatives (like Carvertise).
Step Three: Sign Up
Luckily, Wrapify’s onboarding process is quick and painless. It mainly involves entering basic information about yourself, your car, and your driving habits so that the company can determine whether you’ll be a good fit.
The information you’ll need to enter includes:
- Account Information: You’ll need to choose a username and a password to associate with the account.
- Contact Information: Name, email, phone number—pretty standard stuff!
- Location and Driving Information: Here, Wrapify will ask you for information about where you typically live and drive. The more time you spend driving in busy, metropolitan areas, the greater your chances of being accepted.
After you’ve entered all of the required information, you’ll be asked to take a quick “driving assessment.” This is just a way for Wrapify to gauge your driving habits and confirm that you’re a safe driver.
Once you’ve completed the assessment, your application will be sent for consideration! You should hear back quickly—expect a decision in 1-2 days.
Step Four: Accept a Wrapify Campaign
If your application is successful, the next step is to accept a campaign. Wrapify will send you notifications whenever there’s a new campaign in your area that you’re eligible for.
From there, it’s simply a matter of accepting the campaign and completing the required number of hours. It’s worth noting that you’re not obligated to complete a campaign once you’ve accepted it—if you change your mind, you can always back out!
Step Five: Wrap Your Car
Once you’ve accepted a campaign, Wrapify will be in touch to schedule a car wrapping appointment at a local garage. You’ll be asked to choose a day and time that fits within your schedule, and there’s a good deal of flexibility.
The service providers Wrapify works with are all highly rated—you won’t find many complaints about the wrapping process online! Depending on the size of the wrap you’re getting, expect to be waiting for 1-4 hours.
Step Six: Drive and Earn
Once your car is wrapped, you’re ready to start earning! For drivers who live and work in the area designated by the campaign, simply go about your day-to-day life and watch the money roll in at the end of the month.
For drivers who live farther afield, you’ll likely need to put in a bit more effort if you want to spend enough time in the areas designated by the campaign.
Note: In order to earn with Wrapify, your phone needs to be on with the Wrapify app running in the background. We recommend investing in a car charger, so you don’t miss out on any income due to a dead battery!
Step 6: Unwrapping
Once a campaign is over, Wrapify will be in touch to schedule the removal of the wrap. It will likely be at the same location where the wrap was applied and, again, will cost you nothing.
As soon as the wrap is off, you’re free to sign up for another Wrapify campaign. Just head over to the app and look for a campaign that sounds interesting!
In Conclusion
Let’s summarize what we’ve learned about Wrapify:
- Swarms are a great way for drivers to increase earnings without much additional effort
- You get to choose among lite, partial, and full wraps
- You can earn between $196-$452 a month, or 18-43 cents per mile
- Payments are made on a weekly basis
- Combine with Uber or Lyft for extra income
- The Wrapify app user experience is smooth and easy
- However, Wrapify caps earnings to a maximum of 25-35 miles per day
- Your rate of pay depends on the time of day and the amount of traffic in your area
- You’ve got to be aware of fraudulent check scams by people pretending to work for Wrapify
